For Mother's Day!
I want to send my mother a creative invitation to move in with us. She is living alone, and she was a great mother to me. My husband, Nick, and I do not want her to live alone, although she is managing pretty well on her own. We have two children, Gail and Tim. I want to get this to her before Mother’s Day. She was a single mom, and as a kid she drove me all over the place, to soccer practice, to the mall, usually with Kevin, my little brother, in tow. She spent hours, or days, helping me get everything I needed for camp, and helped me pack every year from when I was 8 through 12. She helped me stay focused in school, although I was very difficult in high school. (I had a huge temper, and a bad attitude, but she always loved me, soothed me and supported me.) She made me go to college, and somehow, paid for it all. I still don’t know how she did that. I went to NYU.

![]() ![]() Mom I’m not sure how to thank you, I don’t think there’s a way But this attempt will share my thoughts, today on Mother’s Day As long as I remember, I put my faith in you You always gave me confidence with everything I do You chauffeured me to practice, and waited there so long To watch me play my soccer, while Kevin tagged along In high school you were awesome; you helped me stay on track And when I went to camp each year you always helped me pack You put up with my temper; my thoughtless attitudes The way I took advantage, and my unpleasant moods You didn’t have a husband but somehow you survived You made our home a place in which I never felt deprived You gave me hope for college; I don’t know how you knew Or how you lived financially and paid for NYU So now that I am married, with children of my own We want you living here with us so you won’t live alone Now Gail and Tim are happy; in fact they cannot wait To hear that Grandma’s moving in, so they can celebrate So call us when you get this; we want to hear you say You’re planning to move in with us, next month on Mother’s Day! Happy Mother’s Day Please move in with us! Love, Sally, Nick, Gail and Timmy © Copyright Positive Impact Corporation, 2010 Click here to Get Started! Begin a Rendition Profile.
