Our son Michael's Coach, Coach Billotti, did a remarkable job with the baseball team this summer. When the boys showed up for the first practice, many of them didn’t know anything about the game. His patience with the boys and how he handled them was amazing. Little Michael wanted to pitch for the team so badly but he was not a good pitcher, and Coach found a way to calm him down every game. Coach Billotti handled the parents like a real pro too, who were often overzealous. One day my husband, Phil, who took the games way too seriously, yelled at Paul (and Paul's parents) when Paul got picked off base. Coach Billotti calmed him down in a minute! But mostly, during the season, Coach Billotti became so respected and loved by all 14 members of the team that they had a hard time saying goodbye to him when the season ended. We would like a short “Rendition” to recognize the Coach and to say “Thank you.”
